奥卢大学，是芬兰北部城市奥卢的一所公立综合性大学，芬兰第二大大学，是LAOTSE成员学校。奥卢大学是一所充满活力的科学和教育基地，现有学生14，500名学生和3100名教职员工。学校的目标是改进芬兰北部的教育制度，以建设高水平的国际科学大学，而且达到国家级水平。获得中国教育部认证。

　　奥卢大学共设有6个学院，分别是人文学院、教育学院、理学院、医学院、经济学院以及工学院。除此之外的独立机构有北极医学研究所、生物中心、电子光学研究所、奥卢信息技术中心、卡亚尼大学中心、语言中心、索丹屈莱天文台、大学图书馆、大学出版社等。

　　奥卢大学在2008年4月设立了以其校友、芬兰前总统马尔蒂·阿赫蒂萨里的名字命名的“马尔蒂·阿赫蒂萨里环球商业与经济研究所”。这个研究所隶属于奥卢大学经济学院，致力于商业和经济领域的国际化教学与研究，开设四个国际硕士项目，现有多个国家的50名学生在该研究所学习。

　　大学的教学涵盖9个领域，分布在6个系里，分别是：教育系，人文系，医学系，科学技术系，经济系和工业管理系。大学侧重以下几方面的研究：生物技术，信息技术，北极问题和环境研究。奥卢市的植物园归属于奥卢大学生物系。它的主要功能就是服务于奥卢大学的教学与科研工作。同时也为其它学校的生物教学提供帮助，当然植物园也对外开放。植物园花房呈金字塔形，内有世界各地植物千余种，由于面积有限，这些植物均是从教研究学角度精选出来的。
